Archives - Department Head: Carson Surber

The records archives are stored at the Tulsa County Warehouse located at 2929B East Apache. Over 1 million individual files containing tens of millions of individual documents are stored at this location. Paper case files are stored as long as the case is open, or the statutory date of file destruction, whichever comes later.

Certain paper records such as wills and trusts and docket information on divorce and marriage license are never destroyed. A staff of specialists maintain these records and are available to retrieve and transport these files to the courthouse at the request of the various courts. Additionally, documents are sent to the archives each day to be filed in older cases that continue to have activity.
